Plan
LMUD
requires an Application
for Service be completed on every new commercial or industrial
project. Also, if you are planning to replace or “upgrade”
your existing electrical panel, this application should be completed
as well.
A
complete set of construction plans must accompany your application.
Plans should include all electrical load information and
an overall site plan that shows existing and proposed utility routes.
Also, included in the application is a Load
Planning Sheet. It is important that this form be filled out
as completely as possible with all the electrical equipment that
your project will utilize. This
information will help us in providing you a more reliable source
of electricity. Some questions on this form may be a little
confusing. Therefore, we
suggest that a qualified electrician, architect or engineer help
complete the form.
It
is very important that you plan ahead for electrical service to
your commercial or industrial project. During peak building season, please plan on
6 to 8 weeks from the time an application is received in our office
to the time the design is completed and information is provided
to you. Actual construction is scheduled after this
time dependant on what special material or equipment that LMUD must
order for your particular development.
It is recommended that you contact the City of Susanville
or Lassen County building departments well in advance for their
respective construction requirements. Also, these agencies will provide you with information
whether your utilities can be installed overhead or underground
on the project site.
