Payment Types and Amounts Credit card payments will be accepted for any amount owed to the District on an electric account. Payments for line extension charges, new service construction fees and claims of damages against the District may be paid by credit card in person at the LMUD office located at 65 S. Roop Street, Susanville Ca.
Processing Acceptable credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. District personnel may verbally accept credit card payment information over the telephone. Credit card payments may also be made at the office or via the LMUD web site credit card payment option. You may drop off your payments at the office during regular business hours or use our after hours drop box 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is also a drop location in Westwood at the Westwood Community Services Office.
A credit card payment that is subsequently rejected by the credit card company will be processed as a check returned for insufficient funds including all applicable fees and penalties.
Accounts disconnected for nonpayment may be paid by credit card, however, if such payment is rejected by the credit card company the account will be disconnected without notice and will not be reconnected until the account is paid by cash in full.
