Plan
LMUD requires an Application
for Service be completed on every new residential project.
Also, if you are planning to replace or “upgrade” your existing
electrical panel on your home, this application should be completed
as well.
Included
in the application is a Load
Planning Sheet. It is important that this form be filled out
as completely as possible with all the electrical equipment that
your home will utilize. This
information will help us in providing you a more reliable source
of electricity. Some questions on this form may be a little
confusing. Therefore, we
suggest that a qualified electrician, architect or engineer help
you complete the form. A Plot
Plan of your home site must accompany the application as
well.
It
is very important that you plan ahead for electrical
service to your home.
During peak building season, please plan on 4
to 6 weeks from the time an application is received
in our office to the time the design is completed and
information is provided to you.
Actual construction of your project is scheduled
after this time. It
is important to contact the City of Susanville
or Lassen
County building
departments in advance for a construction permit. Also, these agencies will provide you with information
whether your utilities can be installed overhead or
underground.
