Due to extreme snow, which caused trees to damage both of our transmission lines, LMUD lost power to all customers in the greater Susanville area. At approximately, 9:30am, crews located the downed trees and removed them from the line. Power is being slowly restored to our system. However, the weather also caused a number of downed power lines locally. This is causing localized outages throughout our service territory. If you see a downed line, please report it immediately by calling 530-257-4174. This number is manned around the clock. Touching a downed line can cause severe injury and death. Be safe! Leave it to the experts!
