Irrigation Efficiency Programs

Posted On: March 5, 2014

Are you a Lassen Municipal Utility District agriculture customer? If so, then you may qualify for free pump testing for your existing equipment and rebates when you purchase and install new energy-efficient equipment.

Pumping costs are often unnecessarily high because either more water is being pumped than is needed and/or the pumping plant is operating inefficiently. Pumping Plant Efficiency Tests can be used to determine if the pumping plant is in need of repair or replacement.

The irrigation efficiency program offers LMUD customers free pump tests. Tests must be scheduled prior to September 30, 2018 and are limited to five (5) pumps per customers. Pump tests will be performed only on pumps associated with a current LMUD account and pumps must be in working order.

Tests will be done on a first come, first served basis, the program will expire on December 31, 2018 or until funds are depleted.

Lassen Municipal Utility District’s irrigation efficiency program encourages installation of energy-efficient equipment in agricultural irrigation systems – should you decide to replace your current pump you may be eligible for money saving rebates on qualified premium efficiency pumps or variable frequency drive motors.

Certain restrictions apply to all programs; please contact LMUD’s Public Relations Manager  for complete program details or to schedule your pump test. Click here to download the Program Application and guidelines.
