Are you attending a community college, trade school, or university in the fall? Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) may be able to help.

LMUD is offering two $1,250 scholarships for high school seniors and one $500 scholarship for returning college students, in a program designed to enhance the education and resulting careers of deserving local students.

Scholarships are offered to students who primarily reside in a residence that is served by Lassen MUD. The program is open to all qualified students, but preference will be given to students pursuing a career in the utility industry.

Applicants must be at least seniors in high school by the fall of 2021. There is no upper age limit. All students—seniors in high school, college students, and graduate students—are encouraged to apply.

Complete the application, available at lmud.org and in the February edition of Ruralite magazine. Return it with a completed essay from one of the topics listed and a resume detailing your goals, hobbies, activities, awards, and achievements, along with an official transcript, to LMUD, ATTN: Scholarship Program, 65 S. Roop Street, Susanville, CA 96130.

Applications must be received by April 29, 2022.
