Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) is an integral part of the community we serve. Our employees are connected and dedicated to serving our customers, neighbors, and the community.

Our employees serve our community as members of local civic organizations, such as Lassen Family Services, Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Alliance for Workforce Development. During the holidays, our employees work with other community-minded organizations to hang lights, install decorations and raise the community Christmas tree.

We are fortunate to have a sense of community, and we take pride in serving our community’s needs. We’re glad to be part of a community that works every day to support each other.

Our Public Benefits program provides energy efficiency services. Our SmartLight program provides rebates for lighting retrofits to help local businesses conserve energy and lower their electric bills. The Keep Your School Cool program provides refrigeration upgrades to local schools, keeping their kitchens running efficiently while saving energy and money.

Our Public Benefits Community Projects program has provided funding for the LED scoreboard at the high school, energy-efficient lighting for Lassen Senior Center, and the ground-source heat pump system at the historic Susanville Railroad Depot.

If you have a project you would like us to consider, please contact Public Relations Manager Theresa Phillips at (530) 257-4174. A list of qualifications can be found on our Public Benefits Community Projects page.

As part of our Public Benefits program, LMUD partners with local organizations to assist low-income customers who need help paying their electric bills. You can find a list of programs and partner agencies on our Community Resources page or call us at (530) 257-4174. We are here to help.

We at LMUD live and work right here in Lassen County and will continue to engage with our community. Part of our mission is connecting and supporting our community by providing safe, reliable, and sustainable service. This not only applies to the energy we provide, but to the services and partnerships that make us your hometown energy provider.

In the coming year, and years to follow, we will continue this practice in all we do. For more information, call us at (530) 257-4174 or email us.
