Join Me at Coffee With the Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) General Manager
Each month as I prepare to write my monthly message to you, I take a moment to reflect on what it really means to be a community-owned utility. At its heart, it means being present for the people we serve—showing up, listening, and making sure you have a voice in the decisions that affect your homes, businesses, and daily lives.
That is why I’m excited to invite you to Coffee With the LMUD General Manager. Starting in April, on the first Monday of each month, I’ll set aside time to sit down with you for an open, easy conversation. No presentations, no script, just an opportunity to talk honestly about how LMUD serves our community, what’s on your mind, and what we’re working on.
We’ll begin at the Blue Ox Bistro in Uptown Susanville. In September, we’ll head to Joe’s Coffee Shop in midtown. Wherever we meet, the goal is the same: to create a space where you can ask questions, share concerns, offer suggestions, or simply learn more about your utility in a relaxed setting.
Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to provide clear updates about our power supply, system improvements, rate planning, and the long-term investments needed to maintain a safe and reliable electric system. But as important as those updates are, nothing replaces real conversation. These coffee meetups are a way for us to keep that dialogue open and accessible.
Whether you want to talk about major projects on the horizon, rates, reliability concerns, or ideas for how we can serve you better, I want to hear it. Your feedback helps shape our priorities and keeps us grounded in what matters most—serving our community with transparency, accountability, and genuine care.
I hope you’ll join me for our first session from 7 to 8 a.m. Monday, April 6, at the Blue Ox Bistro, 602 Main Street, just around the corner from LMUD’s business office. The coffee is on us, and everyone is welcome. We will post all dates and locations on our website and on the LMUD's Facebook page.
