Meet the New Employees at LMUD
At Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD), our employees are the heart and soul of the operation. Their dedication, expertise, and commitment to the community we serve are second to none.
This past month, we said goodbye to longtime employee Cady Schroeder. Cady joined the district in August 2007 as an accounting technician. Over the years, she advanced her career with LMUD. In 2016, she became a senior accountant, and in 2022, she was promoted to accounting and finance manager. She led the district's financial department until her retirement this October.
When asked about her retirement plans, Cady says, “I’m planning on riding my horses, gardening, and spending time with my new granddaughter.”
Cady was dedicated to her position, and we thank her for her 17 years of service.
As Cady leaves the district to enjoy retirement, we welcome Kelli Thompson as our new accounting and finance manager. Kelli brings an expansive portfolio of financial leadership experience. She has worked in multiple industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, media, marketing, consumer packaged goods, retail, construction, and technology. In addition to her work experience, Kelli has an MBA from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sonoma State University.
“In my new role at LMUD, I plan on creating actionable financial planning and analysis,” Kelli says. “My focus will be on providing financial transparency for the district to increase community confidence and provide a deeper understanding of the importance of financial stability.”
Outside of work, Kelli enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, playing with her dogs, gardening, attending concerts, and traveling.
We also welcome Heather Glover as a senior accountant to the LMUD team. Heather has a business administration and accounting degree from Chico State and has worked as a certified public accountant for a firm in Chico. There, she prepared tax returns and participated in nonprofit organization audits. Later, Heather worked as a division accountant in Red Bluff in the lumber/sawmill industry.
“When my family moved to Susanville, I was blessed to be able to stay home with my children for several years,” Heather says. “Now that I’m back in the workforce, I have enjoyed learning about the utility industry and the challenges that we face, not only at LMUD but in the industry."
Heather and Kelli are a great team, and I know they will help LMUD achieve our financial goals.
The LMUD offices are closed on November 11 to celebrate Veterans Day and November 28 and 29 so that our employees can enjoy Thanksgiving with friends and family. As a reminder, the regular LMUD board meeting is moved from Tuesday, November 26, to Tuesday, November 19.
