Keeping your account information current helps Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) provide the best service possible. Here are a few tips to help us help you:
Keep Your Account Information Fresh
Do we have your current contact information? Let us know if you’ve changed phone numbers, disconnected your landline, or changed your mailing address.
If we need to discuss your account with you, we need to be able to contact you in a timely manner. Maybe you’ve changed your name, or you need to add your new spouse to your account. Either way, it’s important we update the information in our system. Also, if there is someone you would like to have listed on your account as a contact, we need your verbal permission to make that change.
Give Credit Where Credit Is Due
LMUD offers customers the convenience of paying their electric bill with a debit or credit card. This service is provided free of charge and can be a real-time-saver. You can pay your LMUD bill through the customer service line, (530) 257-4714, any time of the day or night. The system is fully compliant with current credit card requirements to ensure your transaction is safe and secure. You can store your card for future transactions, making it a breeze to pay your bill.
If you haven’t enrolled in our SmartHub program, give it a try. SmartHub is the easiest way to manage your account. Once you enroll, you can set SmartHub to notify you when your bill is due; if your credit card is about to expire; if your automatic credit card payment has been declined; payment confirmation when a payment has been scheduled or canceled; and a variety of other services.
You can download SmartHub by visiting lmud.org or on your mobile device by visiting the App Store or Google Play.
Perhaps you pay your bills through your bank’s online bill-pay option. If so, make sure you use the correct account number. Each time you move your main residence or business, your account number also changes.
Open, Transfer, or Close an Account
Are you moving this year? Whether you move to a new house in our service territory or leave the area, we need to have your correct forwarding address. This is where we send your final bill or, if you have an account credit, a refund check.
If you need to contact us, the customer service department is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can visit the office at 65 South Roop Street, call (530) 257-4174, or email Customer Service.
