Lassen MUD Celebrates Public Power Week

By Theresa Phillips

The 1st full week of October is Public Power Week. But because a week just isn’t enough time to celebrate Public Power, Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) celebrated throughout the month of October. Events included Food Truck Friday, Donuts and Coffee at Susanville Supermarket, the Ruralite Cover Photo Contest reception in partnership with the Lassen County Arts Council and lunch with the residents of Eskaton/Lassen Manor.

Each event gives community members and LMUD customers the opportunity to meet with LMUD staff and enjoy casual conversation and fun activities. We thank everyone who participated throughout the month. LMUD employees enjoy hearing community comments and strive to answer any questions.

As a reminder, LMUD is community-owned and not-for-profit, which means you, your friends, and neighbors have a powerful voice in how your utility is operated.

LMUD invites you to join us on the 4th Tuesday of each month for our monthly board meetings. Here you can address the board of directors and listen in on decisions that directly affect you and the local community.

Public Power really does Build Better Communities. You and LMUD are More Powerful Together!
