LMUD continues to procure equipment for the Skedaddle NV Interconnect project. Several important items were recently issued for bid, including steel structures for high voltage wire and buswork to connect to our breakers and transformers. Also included is the control enclosure and all electronics to properly monitor and control the substation. Requests for bids will be issued shortly for grading, compaction and fencing of the substation pad.
The Shaffer Mountain power supply line upgrade continues this spring and will provide more reliable service to Shaffer Mountain communication sites once completed.
In recognition of our employees, April 18 was Lineworker Appreciation Day. LMUD thanks all our lineworkers and all our employees for working hard to restore power and respond to our customers’ needs for services. It is a 24-hour-a-day job for lineworkers and many other employees of the district. LMUD is dedicated to being there for our customers.
