Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) is pleased to welcome Robby Hamlin as the district’s general manager.

Robby comes to LMUD with more than 30 years of electric utility experience. He’s worked in engineering and operations at several utilities including Alcorn Electric Cooperative in Mississippi, Valley Electric Association in Nevada, and most recently at CoServ Electric Co-op in Texas, where he served as senior vice president.

“I’m very excited to be named general manager of Lassen,” Robby says. “It has been a career goal of mine to serve a rural utility as general manager, and LMUD is a great fit. My wife, Deborah, and I researched Susanville and Lassen County, and we fell in love with the area. I was raised in rural Mississippi, and the closeness of small-town life is what we know and love, and Susanville offers that. We’re looking forward to being part of the community.”

When it comes to leading LMUD, Robby is looking forward to the opportunity to bring stability to the district and create a workplace where employees look forward to coming to work, feel valued and are recognized for the contributions they are making.

“I believe that our employees and the community we serve are extremely important to the district,” Robby says. “I have an open-door policy, and I want folks to know that I will be available to them, whether it’s in the office or the community. I’m happy to discuss issues and exchange ideas. I believe in openness and transparency. My goal is to put customers first, to focus on those we serve.”

Join us as we welcome Robby to the team. If you have questions for Robby or would like to personally welcome him to Susanville, feel free to give him a call at (530) 257-4174.
